WaterCrest is a luxury multifamily community developed on a 28.35-acre sloping site in suburban Kansas City. The residences surround a green space, which includes walking trails, ponds, and many resort-caliber amenities.

Construction challenges included the discovery of extensive subterranean rock during excavation as well as a 40-ft. elevation variance on the site. An existing stream was refurbished into a conservation easement, and a major utility was relocated to increase the developable land area. Stormwater detention basins were incorporated into the green space, elevating the resort-like experience.
