Atlantic Aviation, a national network of FBOs, sought to expand its operations to meet growing demand at Charles B. Wheeler Airport (MKC).

The new energy-efficient facility includes a 19,676 SF heated hangar, which can store up to a Gulfstream G650. Translucent panels that illuminate the hangar were among the energy efficient features incorporated into the facility.

Construction was completed on a secured, fully operational, 695-acre, international airport with a 24-hour FAA control tower. Its four runways accommodate up to 700 aircraft operations per day.

The new hangar features Type 1 and Type IV deicing capabilities as well as charter, cargo, ground, forklift, fueling, and maintenance services. An additional 6,460 SF of support space accommodates day and overnight crew quarters, fitness facility, conference rooms, a lounge, a cafe, and on-site U.S. Customs.
