Grades 6-9

This project involved the partial demolition of an existing school, salvaging portions of the existing structure. The new school was built between the salvaged components.

Titan Built provided construction management services for the new school, which serves grades 6-9. The classrooms are integrated into a pod design. All the spaces are built with flexibility and natural light as a key focus.

Major amenities in the facility are the courtyard and sports courts. The 3,500 SF courtyard offers seating and dining, creating a vibrant indoor-outdoor connection. The sports court area includes two full-size gyms, an indoor running track, and student and staff workout areas.

Fort Leavenworth is the oldest continuously active military installation west of the Mississippi River. Construction challenges included:

  • compliance with anti-terrorism measures
  • maintaining mission-critical on-base operations throughout construction with effective phasing and staging strategies
  • selection of materials that honor its National Historic Landmark designation
  • accommodating the many diverse and specialized spaces and finishes
